The Upstate NY Giving Wall

Upstate New York businesses coming together to help families in need.
When SNAP benefits were cut, thousands of local families were suddenly left struggling to afford groceries. The Upstate NY Giving Wall recognizes the companies that stepped up — and inspires others to do the same.

When SNAP benefits were cut, thousands of families across Upstate New York suddenly faced food insecurity. In just one day, over 21,000 people applied for help.

That same day, 662 incredible individuals donated $87,486 — proof that when our neighbors are in need, this community shows up.

Now, we’re challenging local businesses to step up too.

What Is the Upstate NY Giving Wall?

The Upstate NY Giving Wall is a simple idea:
A simple website to recognize the businesses that showed up when our community needed them most.

Every business that donates will have its logo displayed on the Wall — a growing directory of generosity. The more you give, the bigger your spot on the wall. Because let’s be honest… if your competitor’s logo is on there, don’t you want yours to be just a little bigger? 😄

Donation Levels

  • $250 – listed

  • $500 – bigger listing

  • $1,000 – even bigger listing

  • $2,500 – you guessed it, even bigger listing

  • $5,000 – MUCH bigger listing

  • $10,000+ – a stupidly big listing

Why Give?

Not because you want your name and logo in bold (though that’s fun).
But because people in our communities — parents, seniors, people with disabilities, those working multiple jobs — need help right now.

Every dollar donated helps put real money directly into the hands of people and families across Central and Western New York who need it most.
